The Mental Health & Recovery Board welcomed new and promoted staff members this summer.
Dr. Terra Howell-Muth joined the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Portage as the Clinical Manager. Dr. Howell-Muth has over 14 years' experience in the behavioral health field has served as a Counselor, Supervisor, and Director, helping individuals, families, and youth, in the Northeast Ohio area, with vast experience in suicide and violence risk assessments and trauma-informed care. Terra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies with a Minor in Sociology from Kent State University, a Master's degree in Justice Studies from Kent State University, a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Kent State University, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Akron. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation in Ohio, has completed basic training for EMDR Therapy and is currently working towards certification, and is a Certified Psychological Autopsy Investigator through the American Association of Suicidology.
Gina Greenhalgh is the Board’s new Data Analyst and Special Projects Coordinator. Gina holds a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Criminology and Justice Studies, Minor in Psychology from Kent State University. She has experience working as a contract data analyst for CIT in both Portage and Summitt Counties as well as a contract program Coordinator for the Handle With Care Program in our schools.
Board Fiscal Specialist, Linda Hankins has been promoted to the position of Accountant 1 starting July 1st. Linda has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and experience in banking and management. She has been with the Board since January of 2023.
Joining the Board as Fiscal Specialist is Joshua Collins. Joshua has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Cedarville University.
