Congratulations to the fall of 2024 Portage Crisis Intervention Team training class for completing the 40 hour class in mental health awareness, de-escallation, and communication skills.

This fall's class was held over a 5-week period, on consecutive Tuesdays. "We are trying to accomodate the smaller departments so it's easier for their staff schedules and coverages to send officers to this important training," explained Portage CIT Coordinator Officer Josh Bartholomew.

The class still experienced the same curriculum: training in mental illness, substance abuse, speciality dockets, self-care, developmental disabilities, pink slips, crisis procedures, as well as the case manager ride alongs and facility tours.

Well-written post! The information was both informative and engaging, which can be difficult to achieve. I recently https://citylineairconditioning.com/ read something similar on a citylineairconditioning-based review blog (citylineairconditioning), and it made me appreciate the topic even more.

A thoughtful and positive message. Conversations around mental health awareness are always valuable, and https://thegamecaps.com/ this was written with care. I recently read a related discussion on thegamecaps too, and both felt meaningful.
